Astrology 2027: Every Key Date — Retrogrades, Eclipses, Full Moons
By CosmyDay Astrology Team · October 18, 2026 · 7 min read
Every date that shapes the 2027 sky, in one place: Mercury retrograde, the eclipses, the full moons by name, the solstices and the zodiac seasons. Each date below is computed from the Swiss Ephemeris, the same engine professional astrology software uses, and given in US Eastern Time. Nothing here is copied from another calendar.
The 2027 headlines
- Mercury goes retrograde three times: February 9 – March 3; June 10 – July 4; October 7 – October 28.
- Mars is retrograde from January 10 to April 1, moving back from 10° Virgo to 21° Leo — Mars only does this about every two years.
- A total solar eclipse on August 2 at 9° Leo — one of the longest of the century, with over six minutes of totality near Luxor, Egypt.
- Jupiter enters Virgo on July 26 at 12:49 AM ET, its one sign change of the year.
- Supermoon: the Wolf Moon on January 22.
- Blue moon: May 20 (seasonal — the third of four full moons in a season).
- Summer solstice June 21 at 10:11 AM ET; winter solstice December 21 at 9:42 PM ET.
Mercury retrograde 2027
| Retrograde begins | Goes direct | From → to |
|---|---|---|
| February 9, 2027 | March 3, 2027 | 6° Pisces → 21° Aquarius |
| June 10, 2027 | July 4, 2027 | 6° Cancer → 27° Gemini |
| October 7, 2027 | October 28, 2027 | 5° Scorpio → 19° Libra |
Each Mercury retrograde lasts about three weeks. In 2027 the first runs back from Pisces into Aquarius, the second from Cancer into Gemini, and the third from Scorpio into Libra — so each one covers the first degrees of one sign and backs into the last degrees of the sign before it. Full details, plus every other planet's stations, are on the retrograde calendar 2027.
Every retrograde active in 2027
| Planet | Retrograde begins | Goes direct |
|---|---|---|
| Uranus | September 10, 2026 | February 8, 2027 |
| Jupiter | December 12, 2026 | April 12, 2027 |
| Mars | January 10, 2027 | April 1, 2027 |
| Mercury | February 9, 2027 | March 3, 2027 |
| Pluto | May 8, 2027 | October 17, 2027 |
| Mercury | June 10, 2027 | July 4, 2027 |
| Neptune | July 9, 2027 | December 15, 2027 |
| Saturn | August 9, 2027 | December 23, 2027 |
| Uranus | September 15, 2027 | February 12, 2028 |
| Mercury | October 7, 2027 | October 28, 2027 |
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto turn retrograde every year for around five months, so for most of the year at least one planet is retrograde. That is normal, not ominous. What matters for you is whether a station lands near a planet in your own chart.

Making 2027 personal
A date list tells you when the sky changes; it can't tell you which changes you'll feel. That depends on where these degrees fall in your birth chart. A Mercury station at 6° Pisces passes almost unnoticed unless you have a planet near 6° Pisces. Cast your free natal chart, note your planets' degrees, and compare them with the tables above. The dates closest to your own placements are the ones to watch in 2027.
That was the sky. This is your sky.
Everything above is true for everyone. These three are true only for you — and all free.
