Reading an ingress
An ingress is simply a boundary crossing: the planet's ecliptic longitude passes an exact multiple of 30° and it moves into the next sign. What varies enormously is how much that matters. Mercury changes sign around fifteen times a year, so any single Mercury ingress is background noise. Saturn manages it roughly every two and a half years, and Neptune about every fourteen — which is why those crossings get written about as era markers rather than weekly weather.
In this window the two headline shifts are Saturn entering Aries on February 13, 2026 and Jupiter entering Leo on June 30, 2026. Retrograde re-entries are marked explicitly, because they are the reason a planet can appear to enter the same sign twice: it crosses forward, turns retrograde, slips back over the boundary, then crosses forward again once it stations direct. The retrograde calendar lists the station dates that cause them.
Which of these actually touches you depends on your own chart. An ingress into Aries matters most if you have placements in early Aries. Cast your free natal chart to compare. Note that Pluto changes no sign at all during 2026–2027 — it is moving too slowly to reach a boundary in this window.

Frequently asked questions
When does Saturn enter Aries?
Saturn enters Aries on February 13, 2026 at 7:12 PM US Eastern, and does not leave Aries again within 2027. Saturn spends roughly two and a half years per sign, so this is its only ingress in this window.
What does an ingress actually mean?
An ingress is the moment a body crosses from one 30° zodiac sign into the next. For the slow planets it marks a genuine change of era — Saturn or Uranus changing sign is a once-every-few-years event that astrologers read as a shift in the collective backdrop. For fast movers like Mercury it happens every few weeks and matters far less on its own.
Why does a planet enter the same sign twice?
Because a retrograde can carry it back across the boundary it just crossed. The planet enters a sign, turns retrograde, reverses into the previous sign, then stations direct and enters again. Rows marked as retrograde re-entries below are these backward crossings. It is why some ingresses appear to happen out of order.
How were these dates calculated?
Each crossing is computed from the Swiss Ephemeris by watching the planet's ecliptic longitude cross an exact 30° multiple, then bisecting to the precise moment and localizing it to US Eastern Time. The dates are not copied from another calendar.
