What stays put in 2027
Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto do not change sign at all during 2027. That is not an omission — the outer planets take years to cross a single sign, which is why they are read as the slow background of a chart rather than as week-to-week weather. The fast movers above are what actually shift the tone of a given month.
A sign change only matters to you if it lands on something in your own chart. Cast your free natal chart and see which of your placements these ingresses actually touch.
That was the sky. This is your sky.
Everything above is true for everyone. These three are true only for you — and all free.

Frequently asked questions
How many planetary sign changes are there in 2027?
40 across 4 planets: Mercury 18, Venus 15, Mars 6, Jupiter 1. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto do not change sign at all during 2027 — the slower a planet moves, the longer it stays put.
What is a planetary ingress?
The moment a planet crosses from one zodiac sign into the next — 0° of the new sign. It is the astrological equivalent of a border crossing, and unlike a retrograde it happens at a single instant that can be computed exactly.
Why does the same planet enter a sign more than once?
Because of retrograde motion. A planet can enter a sign, turn retrograde, back out into the previous sign, then re-enter forwards. Those re-entries are included here rather than hidden, which is why the counts look higher than you might expect.
How were these dates calculated?
Each sign change is computed directly from the Swiss Ephemeris by locating the exact moment the planet's ecliptic longitude crosses a sign boundary, then localizing that instant to US Eastern Time.
